Richard J. Hollawell received his law degree from Widener University School of Law, and his Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Fordham University. After law school, Mr. Hollawell worked as a personal injury attorney at a law firm in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania representing injured victims where he handled all phases of personal injury cases involving medical and nursing home negligence, product liability, automobile accidents and premises liability.  He handled thousands of cases in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey obtaining successful settlements for his clients as well as successful verdicts through trials in both jurisdictions.

Prior to and while he was obtaining his law degree, Mr. Hollawell worked for many years as an insurance claims adjuster at two of the nation’s leading property and casualty insurance companies. His responsibilities included investigating, negotiating, and settling personal injury claims that were presented against the company’s policyholders. His experience working in the insurance industry has provided him invaluable insight and knowledge into the insurance system that he now uses to fight to ensure his clients are treated fairly and are compensated fully for their damages. 

In 2005, Mr. Hollawell joined another law firm in Philadelphia, where he continued his work litigating personal injury cases in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania while adding another specialty to his practice, Insurance Bad Faith Litigation. Again, he successfully handled countless cases for his clients involving medical malpractice, product liability, auto accidents, and premise liability. He also successfully represented clients in contract disputes against their insurance companies litigating disputes due to wrongful handling of disability, homeowners, health and automobile insurance claims.

In 2007, Mr. Hollawell joined our firm and continued his outstanding work representing victims of personal injury and Insurance Bad Faith. He has had many successful settlements and verdicts for his clients including most recently a $375,000 award in a motor vehicle accident case.

While in college, Mr. Hollawell was awarded the Fordham University Presidential Scholarship, the Vincent Lombardi Memorial Award for Leadership and Athletic Achievement, and was the captain of the Fordham Football and a two time All-American. He is presently married and resides in southern New Jersey.
